Research: The LDAN network promotes research designed to improve the health and social care of people in Wales who have a learning disability, an autistic spectrum disorder or other neurodevelopmental disorder.
Partnerships: LDAN reflects the interests of a broad range of stakeholder groups and supports service users, researchers, methodologists and research support staff to work together. Over 400 people in Wales are on the mailing list and take an interest in network activities.
Policy development: LDAN leaders are in contact with senior health, social services and professional body colleagues in Wales, via the Health and Social Services Minister’s Learning Disability Advisory Group (LDAG).
LDAN is one of 17 research networks funded by the Welsh Government and supported by the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research Clinical Research Centre (NISCHR CRC).
